Mr. M had been in his usual health, and the end came very much unexpected. The funeral was held from the U.B. Church Tuesday afternoon, his Post and the members of the W.R.C. attending in a body. The services being under the direction of the G.A.R. Rev. Durlier preaching the sermon. The remains were interred in Lakeside Cemetery. Mr.M. was born in Pennsylvania on April 7, 1833. He joined the 21st Ohio regiment in the fall of 1862, and was wounded in the battle before Atlanta. He came to Michigan in 1881. On October 27, 1859, he was married to Mary Ann Hill, and to this union was born two sons, one of whom preceded him, in 1885. He leaves a widow, one son and two sisters, besides a host of friends to mourn his loss.
