Dec. 29, 1971 ARNOLD P. MASENGALE Funeral services for Arnold P. Masengale, 59, will be Friday at 3 pm at Leddick funeral home. Rev. James Carey of Battle creek will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Maasengale died Tuesday morning at a Bradenton, Fla. hospital of an apparent heart attack. Born in Dayton, Tenn., December 17, 1913, he was the son of Pete and Lulu Bishop Masengale. He attended and graduated from school at Dayton and moved to Battle Creek where he took up the heating trade. He later moved to Ionia where he conducted a retail and wholesale heating and air conditioning concern from 1952 to 1960. He then moved his business and home to Marquette where he livd until 1964. He has lived at Bradenton, Fla., in semi-retirement the past seven years. While living in Ionia he was interested in area sports and activities and served as president of Ionia Athletic Booster club. Surviving are his wife, Donna; four sons, Newell of Greenville, Donald of Ionia and Thomas and Leon of Battle Creek; two daughters, Mrs. James Arnold and Mrs. Blair Workman of Battle Creek; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Ross Masengale of Bradenton, Fla., and Earl of Dayton, Tenn; two sister, Mrs. Lela Cochran and Mrs. Betty Sulters of Dayton, Tenn.
