Stanley A. Mason, 51, of Greenville, passed away on Wed., Sept. 26, 2001 in 
Lyons.

He was born on Feb. 19, 1950, in Ionia, the son of Rayburn and Bernita (Higbee) 
Mason.  Stanley was a decorated war veteran, receiving the Purple Heart in the 
Vietnam War.

He is survived by a daughter, JoAnn (Jodi) Lynn Wymer of Ft. Worth, Texas; two 
grandchildren; his father and wife, Rayburn Mason and Katherine Mason; his 
brothers and sisters, Daniel (Deborah) Mason, Rick Owens and Judy Farrell all 
of Truth or Consequences, N.M., and Sandy Snyder of Belding; many nieces, 
nephews, cousins; and Harry and Joni Wilbur of Belmont.

Stanley was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Glenn Mason; and a 
sister, Peggy Smith.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at Sunset Memorial 
Gardens on M-66 in South Ionia, with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating.  
Military honors will be conducted by Sheridan VFW Post 5065.  His family will 
greet relatives and friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., tonight at Johnson-
Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
