The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, January 9, 1991

Donald L. Mason, 85, formerly of Hubbardston, died Monday at a St. Louis 
nursing home.  He was born April 13, 1905 in Bloomer Township, Montcalm 
County.  He was the son of Ford and Gertrude Vickery Mason.  He was married to 
Beulah Charles.  She preceded him in death in March of 1985.  

He was a retired line worker for General Motors in Grand Rapids.  He served in 
the Army Air Force during World War II.  He was a member of the Hubbardston 
American Legion Post.

He is survived by his son Donald Mason, of Erie, Pennsylvania, his daughter 
Louise Loop, of North Olmstead, Ohio, his brother Ford Mason, of Ionia, and 
his sister Reva McGee, of Ionia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Hull Memorial Chapel 
in Muir with the Rev. Dan Vallier officiating.  Burial will be in North Plains 
Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 – 9 p.m.
