Dolores Yvonne "Lolly" Mason, 79, passed away on Aug. 6, 2012 with her family 
by her side at her home in Lyons after a two year battle with cancer.

Lolly was born Aug. 30, 1932 in Ionia to Delbert and Mae (McCord) Swain. Lolly 
married Carl "Joe" Mason on Jan. 25, 1951. She enjoyed the many years she 
worked at the Empress Salon in Ionia.

She was an avid bowler and enjoyed photography, crafts, playing cards and 
Elvis. She will be remembered for her sharp wit, her love of practical jokes, 
and her generosity.

Lolly is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Joe Mason; daughter, Judy 
Chadwick, and Jody (David) Young; grandchildren, Chad Edwards, Kylee (Jon) 
Grilley, and Sheena (Levi) Wilber; great-grandchildren, Paige, Sinder, Katie, 
Kristopher, Naomi, Amanda, Adrienne, Wyatt and Tait; great-great grandson, 
Colton; her siblings, Junior (Arla) Swain, Jean (Chuck) Wolthuis and Dick Swain.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Shiloh Community Church with 
Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment Easton Cemetery. The family will 
receive friends and relatives from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia.
