Naomi E. Mason aged 88 of Ionia went to be with her Lord on January 4, 2004. 
She was born June 25, 1915 in Big Rapids the daughter of Fred and Pearl 
(Ralston) Cantine.

She was a graduate of Lyons-Muir High school class of 1933. She was a longtime 
member of the First Baptist Church in Palo. She was an avid reader, and had 
great love for music, flowers, gardening and her grandchildren.  Mrs. Mason 
would go on to marry Ford E. Mason in 1940 and he would precede her in death 
in 1991.

She is survived by her sons Phil Mason of Ionia and Gerald and Paula Mason of 
Ionia. Brothers Keith and Rose Cantine and David and Anne Cantine both of 
Eaton Rapids. 1 Sister Ruth Stedman of Ionia. 7 Grandchildren, 10 Great 
Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by daughter in 
law Patricia Mason in 2003 and 2 brothers Clarence and Earl Cantine.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mason will be held Wednesday 1:00 P.M. at the First 
Baptist Church in Palo with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment Palo 
Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday 7-8:30 P.M. at the Lake Funeral Home 
in Ionia. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to First Baptist 
Church of Palo.
