Ionia Shopper's Guide - Saturday April 6, 2024

            MASON

John "Stub" Mason age 67 of Saranac passed away March 31, 2024. He was born 
October 17, 1956 in Ionia the son of Thomas C.and Rita(Sonday) Mason. He 
attended Saranac Public School, graduating with the Class of 1975. Stub was a 
member of the Saranac American Legion.

He worked as a mechanic for Klahn Farms and would later go on to drive truck for 
Mizkan for the last 25 years.Stub loved riding motorcycles, building his own 
vehicles, cutting wood (Like a lumber jack) and working on other's vehicles.He 
would help anyone who needed a hand.

He is survived by Vicki Warner of Saranac. Children; Travis (Sarah) Mason of 
Saline and Samantha (Frans) Badenhorst of Hawthorne, of Florida. grandchildren; 
Cora Mason, Davis Mason and Daniel Johanna. Like a son John (Lisa) Warner and 
their children and grandchildren. Siblings; Ed Mason, Joe Mason,Rose 
(Mike)Miles,Judy Woodman,Kathy (Ron) Davis,Mary (Mark)Castle and Marie (Joe) 
Boyd. Several Brothers and Sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and cousins. 

Stub was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life at the Saranac 
American Legion Saturday April 6th from 2-7 p.m.
