She had been in poor health for two years. She was born in Hinchman, Oct. 16, 1879, daughter of William and Anna Motz. She married Mason at Iron Mountain May 14, 1903. They lived in Manchester for five years and Grand Ledge for five years before moving to Ionia in 1913. They made their home on Lincoln avenue for seven years for moving into their present home 21 years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist church, a charter member of the Ella Hutchins circle of the church and a member, past president and secretary for 15 years of the auxiliary of the U. S. W. V. She was also a former member of Grand Ledge chapter, O. E. S. Surviving are the husband, Earl, prominent orchard owner, two daughters, Mrs. Caryl Johnson of Muskegon and Mrs. Ray Badder of Ionia; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. A. M. Emerson of Toledo, O., and Mrs. Leonard Ayres of Huntington, W. Va. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist church by the Rev. W. W. Pixley. Interment will be in Tuttle cemetery. The body will rest at the Boynton funeral home until 1 p.m Friday when it will be removed to the church. Additional Comments: Age: 71 (Mrs. Earl W.)
