Sentinel-Std. - Monday, May 23, 1955

Orin A. Mason, 63, of 833 West Washington street, died in his home Sunday 
afternoon after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Mason was born October 5, 1891, in Isabella county, the son of William and 
Addie Mason. He spent his early life in Isabella and Clare counties. In 1912 he 
was married to Mabel Cox of Ionia and they moved to Ionia in 1921 where he 
worked for the Ypsilanti Reed Company and Hayes Body for nine years. I 1927 he 
established the Mason Brothers Dry Cleaning, which he operated until 1953 when 
he retired. Mr. Mason was a member of the First Christian church, Loyal Order 
of Moose and Ionia Lodge No. 36 F. and A.M.

Besides his wife, Mabel, he is survived by one son, Charles O., one daughter, 
Mrs. Harold Graham; eight grandchildren; a stepmother, Mrs. Martha Mason of 
Easton township; two brothers, Orval of Comstock Park and Ray of Santa Cruz, 
California; two sisters, Mrs. Wilbur Sandell of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Ruby 
Sanborn of Wasco, California.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Stone-Kauffman 
funeral home with the Rev. Court O. Adams officiating.

Interment will be at Lakeside cemetery at Lake Odessa.
