Ionia County News, 2 Oct 1958

Ford E. Mason, 78, of Route 1, Hubbardston, died Sunday, September 21, at the
home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Decker in Bloomer
Township.  Born April 16, 1880 in Bloomer Township, Mr. Mason was a farmer and
lived nearly all his life in the house where he was born.

Surviving are four sons, Donald and Louis of Muir, George of West Field, New
York, and Ford of Palo; three daughters, Mrs. Mina Decker of Route 1,
Hubbardston, Mrs. Reva Fancett of Ionia and Mrs. Wretha Bennett, Muir; 22
grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.  His wife, Gertrude, died in 1918.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, September 24, at the Stebbins funeral Home
in Sheridan.  Interment was in Bloomer Center Cemetery.
