Ionia Sentinel, 30 Aug 1894

A second child of W.G. Mason of Easton is down with typhoid fever.  The first, a
son 11 years old, died last week.

Giles Mason, living a mile northeast of the city, died Friday evening, aged 11
years of typhoid fever.  The funeral was held Sunday at 2 o’clock at the home of
his father, W.G. Mason, interment Highland Park.  The funeral was conducted by
Director Bradley of O.J. Bretz & Co., the sermon being preached by Rev. W.H.
Scott.
