Roy G. Massey, 60, of Ionia passed away Sunday November 9, 2014 at Sparrow 
Hospital in Lansing.  Roy was born on December 19, 1953 in Greeneville, TN, the 
son of Jessey J. and Alta E. (Ricker) Massey. 

Roy was a family man and enjoyed being a grandpa as well as baseball, hunting, 
fishing and riding his bike.  He was married on May 9, 1983 in Ft. Worth to 
Cheryl L. Johnson. 

Roy is loved and survived by his wife Cheryl and their children; Gary R. Massey 
of Colorado, Charles A. Pratt of Florida, Norman L. Massey of Portage, Jessey 
A. Massey of Carson City, Christopher S. and Kristen Massey of California, Sara 
and Adam Miles of Carson City, 12 grandchildren, his brothers and sisters; 
Peggy and Dave Carter of Florida, Sue Massey, Rose and Bobby Byrd, Ronnie and 
Nancy Massey, Billy Joe Massey, Terry and Carolyn Massey, Steve and Vicky 
Massey Mike Massey all of TN, and Ted Massey of Forney, TX.  Roy was preceded 
in death by his parents, a sister Carol Massey-Nelson and two brothers; Tim 
Massey and Chester Massey. 

In keeping with family wishes cremation has taken place.  Memorial services 
will be 1 p.m. Monday November 17, 2014, at Bible Believers Baptist Church, in 
Pewamo, with Pastor David White officiating.  Visitation with the family will 
be one hour before the service at church.  Memorials may be given to the 
family.  Envelopes will be available at the church or Johnson-Feuerstein 
Funeral Home, 203 Pleasant St. Belding, MI. 48809 where funeral and cremation 
services have been entrusted.
