Mrs. Vena May Mast, 82, of Smyrna died Sunday evening at Kent County hospital in
Grand Rapids following an illness of several months.  Born October 2, 1891, in
Smyrna she was the daughter of Spencer and Anna Delman? Cowles.  In 1910 she was
married to Jesse Mast and he died in 1959.  After his death she had made her
home with a daughter, Mrs. Charles Wrung of Sheridan.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Marian Wrung of Sheridan, stepson Charles Mast
of Kalamazoo, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, sister, Mrs.
Nellie Johnson of Belding, brother, Claude Cowles of San Pablo, Calif.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Charles M. Courser funeral
home in Belding.  Rev. Eugene Lewis will officiate and interment will be at
Smyrna cemetery.  A memorial has been established for the American Cancer
society.  Visitation hours at the funeral home are Tuesday and Wednesday from 2
to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m.
