             Harry B. Mathews Buried Monday From Bellaire

Harry B.Mathews, 64, died march 25 after a long illness.He had spent several 
weeks this winter with his aunt, Mrs.Grace Allen and Miss Lena Thompson here in 
this city when he became much worse and was taken to Ann Arbor March 24th and 
died suddenly at midnight March 25th.

Mr.Mathews service as county treasurer of Antrim County for more than eight 
years following his father, George A.Mathews. Harry Mathews as a Veteran of 
First World War and served in Russia where he was in five battles and several 
skirmishes. Surviving are one sister, Mrs.Harold Eastman and family of Ann Arbor 
and one aunt, Mrs.Grace Allen of this city.

The funeral was at Bellaire on Monday at 2 p.m. and burial was at Alba. 
Mrs.Grace Allen went to Ann Arbor on Friday to the Harold Eastman home and 
accompanied them to Bellaire for the funeral on Monday.She returned here on 
Monday, Mrs.Allen has lived here with Miss Lena Thompson for many years but has 
spent her summers with Mr.Mathews at this summer home at Otsego Lake,Near 
Bellaire.
