Excerpts from Belding Obituary

VIRGIL L. MATHEWSON

Died Wednesday January 28, 2026 
"A life of simplicity", was his standard of life. Be simple in all things, your 
apparel, speech, action & ones's relations with family, relatives, friends & 
neighbors.
He believed that the real struggle in life is a spiritual one, to align one's 
will with that of God's.
Virgil had four brothers & three sisters, many nieces & nephews & many great-
nieces & nephews.
No services were held.Virgil's body will be cremated & his ashes interned on his 
gravesite, to become, as near as possible, life again in keeping with his 
simplicity of life standard.
May make donations to the Alvah Belding Memorial Library, 302 E.Main St., 
Belding, Mich. 48809.
