Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Jan 1965

Mrs. Cora G. Matthews, 67, died at her home, 448 Forest street, early Thursday 
evening.  She was born March 21, 1897 in Saginaw, daughter of Herbert and Effie 
Blow.  In 1916 she was married in Ionia to Clarence H. Matthews who survives.  
Mrs. Matthews was a member of First Christian church and Bethany circle.

Surviving besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence J. Walsh of 
Detroit and Mrs. Paul A. Collier of Lansing; five grand and three great-
grandchildren; also two sisters, Mrs. Glenn E. Gilmore of Lansing and Mrs. 
Margaret Nelson of Ionia.

Funeral service will be at Stone-Kauffman funeral home at 2 o’clock Monday 
afternoon with the Rev. James Kendall officiating.  The family will be at the 
funeral home Saturday and Sunday evenings from 7 until 9 to receive friends.
