The Portland Observer, Thursday, January 26, 1928

Stricken while on his way to a Grand Rapids hospital Wednesday, Harry 
Mattison, Ronald township supervisor, died within a few minutes at Lowell, 
where he and his wife had stopped for dinner.  Funeral services will be held 
from the farm residence in Ronald Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Mr. 
Mattison was 58 years old and had spent the greater part of his lifetime in 
Ionia County.
