Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 18 Dec 1961

Funeral service was held at St. Patricks Catholic church in Portland Friday at
9:30 a.m., for Mrs. Katherine I. Mauren who died Monday night at Blodgett
hospital in Grand Rapids.  She was the wife of the late Fred J. Mauren, editor
and publisher of Portland Review and Observer.

Bearers were Edward Keusch, Jr., Julius Keusch, Dan Manning, Clarence Manning,
C.J. Hill and Dee Meitler.  Interment was at Portland cemetery.
