Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Aug 1983

Odessa M. Maus, 93, of 285 Baldwin, Lyons, died Thursday afternoon at Ionia 
Manor, following a long illness.  Born Aug. 8, 1893, in Ferris Center, Mich., 
she was the daughter of Edwin and Nina Jenks.  She attended Gorham rural school 
and Lyons High School, and was married to Harrison Maus in 1909, and they made 
their home in Lyons for more than 60 years.  He preceded her in death in 1970.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth, of Lyons; two daughters, Mrs. Ivah Gladding and 
Mrs. Marian Ross, both of Lyons; six grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 
3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Lyons Baptist Church, the 
Rev. Richard Harrison of Dimondale Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will be 
in Lyons Cemetery.  Until noon Sunday, the body will be at Hull Memorial 
Chapel, Muir.  A memorial has been established by Lyons Baptist Church, in the 
care of the funeral chapel.
