Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 18 Mar 1947

Samuel Maus, 62, of Lyons died in the Ionia County memorial hospital Monday, 
March 17, at 5 p.m. following a short illness.  Born October 25, 1883, in Ionia 
township, he has been a farmer all his life south of Lyons.

Surviving are two brothers, Harry Maus and Fred Maus, both of Lyons.

The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Shaw-
Rivett funeral chapel with the Rev. Faulkner Mercer officiating.  Interment 
will be in the Lyons cemetery.
