The Ionia County News, Thursday, October 10, 1959

Mrs. Evah Maxfield passed away September 2 in Detroit.  She was born April 1, 
1883 in Ionia County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bright, and had lived 
in Detroit about 25 years.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Cora Grover of Ionia, Mrs. Orpha Day, and 
Mrs. Mary Jones, of Chicago; and one brother, Maurice Bright of Detroit.

Funeral services were held at Myers Funeral home.  Rev. H. S. Ellis 
officiated.  Burial was in Balcom Cemetery.
