Ionia Sentinel Standard, 25 Jan 1982

Dorothy V. Maxwell, 72, of Ionia died Sunday morning in Blodgett Memorial Medical
Center in Grand Rapids.  Born in Ronald Township Feb. 9, 1909, she was the daughter
of Bert and Pearl Millard Stedman.  She graduated from Palo High School and worked
for many years at five and dime stores in Ionia, and was the manager of the W.W. Mac
store.

She married Leslie W. Maxwell in Ionia April 22, 1943, and they made their home in
Ionia.  He preceded her in death Dec. 12, 1973.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Frances Humphrey of Ionia, and Mrs. Glenn
(Margaret) Tanner of Greenville, and nieces and nephews.  A brother, Millard
Stedman, preceded her in death in 1973.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home. 
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  A memorial for the Blodgett Memorial
Medical Center Cancer Fund has been established, in the care of the funeral home. 
The family will be at Leddick Funeral Home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
