The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, May 23, 1977


Mrs. Mary E. May, 86, of 475 Water street, Portland died Tuesday at St. 
Lawrence hospital in Lansing. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in January, 1976.  Survivors 
include three sons, Francis of Portland; Marcus of Lansing and Arthur of Lake 
Odessa; three daughters, Mrs. Donna Hall of Ionia; Mrs. Martha Limburg of Grand 
Rapids, and Mrs. Justine Thalison of Ionia; a sister, Mrs. Villa Schwalier of 
Coopersville; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 

Services are Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s church in Portland with Rev. 
Father Donald Weber officiating.  Burial is in Portland cemetery.  Rosary will 
be recited Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Neller funeral home.
