Ionia Sentinel, Thursday, October 31, 1963

Cecil D. Maynard, 56, of 319 Pleasant street, died Wednesday evening at Ionia 
County Memorial hospital after a short illness.

He was born July 27, 1907 in Boyne City the son of J.O. and Grace Dingman 
Maynard, and came to Ionia with his parents when a small child.

March 25, 1934 he was married to Ruth Patterson in Ionia.  They operated the 
Ionia bus depot for nine years and his most recent employment was with Beebe 
Radio Service.

Mr. Maynard was a member of SS Peter and Paul church.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth, two sons, William and Robert Maynard of Ionia, 
two daughters Jeanne of Lansing and Mrs. Marjorie Seelye of Ionia and two 
grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited Friday evening at [unreadable time] at Myers funeral 
home.  Requiem High Mass will be sung Saturday morning at 9 o’clock at SS Peter 
and Paul church with interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
