Ionia Sentinel Standard - December 26, 1972

                              OLNEY MAYNARD

President of Ionia Senior Citizens club, Olney Maynard, 80, of 5557 Bluewater 
Highway, died Christmas Day n Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.

Born March 21, 1892 in Vickerville, he was a son of Mr.and Mrs.Edward Maynard.He 
married Marie Meisling in Ionia August 13, 1915 and she preceded him in death 
January 25, 1971.

Mr.Maynard was employed for many years at the former Ypsilanti-Reed Furniture 
Co. in ionia and worked as a painter at one of Lansing's landmark hotel 15 
years.

Surviving are two sons, LaWayne and Jack Maynard both of Lansing; a brother 
Orrie of Lyons; a sister, Mrs.Frank Dyke of Ionia, two grandchildren and several 
nieces and nephews.

The body is at Myers-Roetman Funeral Home in Ionia where friends and relatives 
may call beginning December 26 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 
p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.n December 28, the Rev. A.R.Gallert 
of St.John Lutheran church officiating.

Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.
