Ionia Sentinel-Standard
Alfred F. McAllister, 55, of 340 Congress St., Sheridan, died on arrival at the 
United Memorial Hospital in Greenville after suffering a heart attack at 
Greenville Products.  He was born Jan. 7, 1928, in Bellingham, Washington.  The 
son of Ernest and Edna McAllister.  He was a resident of Sheridan for 40 years, 
and formerly lived in Mill Brook.  He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5065 of 
Sheridan also a member of the American Legion, Post 101 of Greenville.  He was a 
veteran of World War II.  He was married to Fern Ruthruff on February 24, 1951.

She survives; also surviving are:  one son, Clyde of Sheridan; two daughters, 
Miss Terrie McAllister of Fenwick and Valerie and Rudy Utter of Stanton; two 
grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest of Florida and Richard of Bellington, Wash,; 
one sister, Mrs. Mae Colacki, Rochester, N.Y.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 pm at the Stebbins and Simpson Funeral 
Home in Sheridan, with the Rev. Kendall Downing of Belding officiating.  Burial 
will be in the Sheridan cemetery.  Military graveside service will be under the 
direction of the V. F. W. Post of Sheridan  The family will be at the funeral 
home Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 8:30 pm.
