James McArdle at SS Peter and Paul church Monday morning at 9 o’clock. Rosary will be recited Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at Myers funeral home. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery. Mrs. McArdle was born October 18. 1900, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lanahan. She was married to Thomas McArdle August, 1924. He died in 1935. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church, Daughter’s of Isabella, Rosary Society and Mothers’ Study club, also an active member of the Board of Directors of the Hospital Guild during the establishment of the new hospital. Survivors are four daughters Sister Marie Joel (Catherine) of Santuro, Puerto Rico, Mrs. Ivan Towns of Royal Oak, Genevieve of Monmouth, N.J., and Margaret of Royal Oak, one son, Thomas of Mt. Pleasant, and one grandson, Kevin Towns. Lt. McArdle was born April 6, 1933. He graduated from SS. Peter and Paul academy, attended Aquinas College for two years and entered service January 28, 1954. He attended pre-flight school at Lackland Air Force base at San Antonio, Tex. Upon completion of training he was commissioned Second Lt. on March 22, 1955. He was to have reported to Kelly Field, San Antonio, Tex., attached to the Material Air Transport service.
