George Harold McArthur, 85, of Redford and formerly of Wyoming, passed away on 
Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011.

He was a retiree of the Area Agency on Aging of West Michigan, a member of St. 
John Vianney Church for 50 years, a Retired Senior Volunteer of the Wyoming 
Police Department, and a member since 1968 of the National Campers and Hikers 
Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn. 

He is survived by his sons, David (Christine) McArthur of Dearborn Heights, 
Steven (Barbara) McArthur of Livonia, and William (Jeannette) McArthur of grand 
Blanc; grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) McArthur, Alan (Shayna) McArthur and Erin 
McArthur; and great granddaughter, Mallory McArthur.

Mr. McArthur reposes at the Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Woming), 
4301 Clyde Park SW, where the family will meet relatives and friends 2 to 4 
p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 
11 a.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with 
Fr. Tom Vesbit presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery
