Mrs. Ethel M. McArthur, 82 of Route 3, Belding, passed away Tuesday, November 27, at
9:00 p.m.  She died at her residence Grattan township in Kent County.  Mrs. McArthur
was born in Fairplains township Montcalm County, on July 7, 1880 the daughter of
Richard J. and Celestia Janross Longstreet.

She had resided at her present address for the past 44 years where she was a
housewife and also engaged in farming.  She had previously resided at Ashley.  She
was a member of Grattan Venus Chapter 107 OES, Good Fellowship Club, Columbian Club,
Greenville White Shrine and Marry Makers Club.

On March 21, 1918, she was married to Howard G. McArthur, in Otisco township.  He
passed away in 1956.

Surviving are one daughter Mrs. Donald (LaZelle) Henrickson, of  Coral; one sister,
Mrs. Robert J. Wood, of Belding; and one grandson.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 1, at 2:00 p.m. at the Huffman Funeral
Home in Belding.  The Rev. Elmer Katterjohn, of the Baptist church in Ashley,
officiated.  Interment was in the Ashley cemetery, in Grattan township.
