Ionia Sentinel-Standard - April 27, 2010


Dean Charles McCarn, born Aug. 23, 1951, in Ionia, went home to heaven 
unexpectedly April 22, 2010.

Dean was a avid race fan, a Dallas Cowboy fan, an artist and a music lover. He 
really enjoyed telling his tales to anyone that would sit and listen to them. 
Dean also loved going to the Ionia Free Fair. He attended the Ionia Public 
Schools, served in the U.S. Navy and served in the Youth Corp Forestry Division 
in Indiana. Dean had various jobs, but he especially liked his time at E.B.I 
Break Through in Lake Odessa.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Marie McCarn; brothers, David 
(Kay) McCarn, Daryel (Theresa) McCarn; sister, Diane Rogers; nieces, Tracie 
(Andy) Dinehart, Heather Rogers, Stephanie (Kurt) Turbergen and their daughter 
Dalilah and nephews, Robert McCarn and Carl Rogers, all from Ionia.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, at First 
Christian Church in Ionia,  130 E. Washington. Luncheon to follow immediately 
after service. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Memorial 
contributions may be made to charity of choice. Online condolences may be made
