DAVID McCARN 1949-2017
David Harland McCarn, 68, of Ionia, Michigan passed away Aug 31, 2017. He was 
born on Feb. 7, 1949 in Ionia, the son of Edward and Ellen (Coates) McCarn.

He graduated from Ionia High school in 1967. David served in the U.S. Army and 
did two tours of duty Vietnam in 1968.

He married Kay Marie Hattis on Nov. 24, 1972. He worked at Gibson in Greenville 
and later at Oldsmobile where he worked until his retirement. David loved to 
fish and would spend countless hours fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Kay of Ionia; Mother, Ellen McCarn of Ionia; 
Brother, Daryel (Theresa0 McCarn of Ionia; sister, Diane Rogers of Ionia; 
Brothers and Sister-in-law's, Larry (Jeanine) Hattis of Maple Rapids, Carol 
(Eric) Lau of Riverdale and Ken Hattie of Ionia and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father; andBrother, Dean McCarn.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home 
in Ionia with Pastor Armand Aronson officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial 
Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at the Funeral home.
