Ionia Sentinel Standard, 1 Mar 1985

William E. McCartney, 53, of 623 Lafayette Street, Grand Haven, formerly of Lake
Odessa, died Feb 26 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

He is survived by his wife, June; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Pam) Richardson
and Debbie McCartney, and a son, Ken, all of Grand Haven; two grandchildren; his
mother, Mrs. Arthur (Ebrie) McCartney of Grand Ledge; three sisters, Mrs. Ray
(Lucille) Everest of Alpena, Mrs. Carl (Mary) Beard of Grand Ledge and Mrs.
George (Pat) Hildreth of Lansing; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held March 2 from the VanZantwick, Bartels and
Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven.  Memorial contributions may be made to
the Michigan Heart Association.
