Jan. 26 & 29, 1931 Mrs. J.A. McCarty, 84, 847 West Main Street, died at her home Sunday evening at 10:30 after a long illness. Private services will be conducted by Dr. Paul L. Stewart at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment will take place in the family lot in Woodard Lake cemetery. Friends, please omit flowers. Those wishing to view the remains may do so by calling at the home any time before the hour set for services. Mrs. McCarty was born in Wisconsin, but came to Ionia county when a young woman and had lived in this vicinity since. Prior to moving to Ionia she was a resident of Ronald Township. Her husband died 15 years ago. A daughter, Mrs. Byron Yeomans; a brother, Dr. Frank Hargraves of Palo and a sister, Mrs. Judevine of Ronald survive. Thursday Jan. 29, 1931 Mrs. J.A. McCarty Private services were conducted at the home, 847 West Main Street, by Dr. Paul L. Stewart Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. J.A. McCarty who died Sunday evening after a long illness. Reltives, Verne Judevine, Frank Judevine, Lee Hargraves, Roy Hargraves, Dr. Don Hargraves and Joseph Hoover were bearers. Those from out of town to attend the services were Mr. and Mrs. Earl McCarty and daughter of Kalamazoo; Mrs. Mary Vorce and Mrs. Rollin Allen, of Muir and Dr. and Mrs. Don Hargraves, of Eaton Rapids. The interment took place in the Woodard Lake Cemetery. Additional Comments: Mrs. James A.
