VERNON McCAUL, 78
Vernon "Dale" McCaul, 78, of Clarksville, was called home to be with our Lord 
and Savior in the presence of his family Friday, Dec. 8, 2017.

Dale retired from a 30 years career with General Motors. He loved to hunt, fish, 
camp and travel along with using his talents in the restoration of antique 
tractors. He was a Charter member and former president of the Clarksville Steam 
and Gas Assoc. Dale had served as a Clarksville volunteer fireman and was a long 
time member of the Elmdale Church of the Nazarene. He lived out his faith by a 
desire to use his time and treasure to help others, but his greatest passion 
were the moments he would spend with his family and friends.

A devoted husband and father, Dale is survived by his wife Retta; his children 
Kim (Brian) Rowe, Greg (Amy) McCaul and Kris (Rick) Norder; grandchildren, Tim, 
Cody, Anna, Wade, Emma and Nathan. Six stepchildren, nine grand-stepchildren and 
two great-grand-stepchildren; sister Rita (Harold) Philo; and many nieces, 
nephews and special friends. Dale was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years 
Joan, parents and three brothers.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the lake 
Funeral Home in Saranac. The Funeral survive will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, 
Dec. 14, at the Clarksville Bible church. Interment will be at the Clarksville 
cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia commission of  Aging and the 
Elmdale Church of the Nazarene building fund. Online condolences may be made at
