The late Mr. McCausey was born in Eagle in 1843 and when a small boy went to New York State with his parents who shortly after returned to this community and settled in Danby. When a young man he was married to Mary Chant of Riley and for many years the couple resided on what is known as the Fred Kelly farm. In 1893 Mrs. McCausey passed away and in 1905 Mr. McCausey was married to Rose Slade and until her death several years ago, the couple resided in Orange Township. He is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Kern Sprague at whose home his death occurred, Mrs. Claud Carlisle of Marquette, Olney of Westphalia and Louis of Grand Rapids. The funeral was held Monday afternoon in charge of Rev. Blewfield. Interment took place in the Portland cemetery.
