He was found Sunday morning by his neighboring sons. Coroner Richard Hull ruled the death due to a heart attack. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are six sons, Frederick of Mulliken, Martin of St. Johns, Leo of Grand Ledge, Robert, Wayne and Charles of Portland; 21 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; brother, Raymond of Brighton. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Neller funeral home in Portland. Rev. Maurice Christenson of Portland Baptist church will officiate. Graveside services at Portland cemetery will be under the auspices of Portland VFW post. Bearers will be Robert and James McCausey, Richard Kimmel, Leon Pohl, Clare Cross and Elmer Fedewa.
