James E. McClelland, 54, of Portland, died Wednesday in Lansing.  He was born 
April 7, 1930, in Portland, the son of Russell and Marietta (Hillis) 
McClelland.  He was a press operator at Oldsmobile, and also a member of the 
V.F.W. Post 4090.  He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

McClelland is survived by his wife Linda, four daughters, Luanne of Portland, 
Laura of Portland, Joanne Rink of Mt. Clements and Vickie Clothier of Midland.  
He is also survived by two grandchildren, and his mother, Marietta Carlson of 
Mt. Dora, Fla.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Neller Funeral Home in 
Portland, with the Rev. Dow Chamberlain officiating.  Pallbearers will be David 
Hillyard, Harold Dennie, Edward Pohl, David Jones, Carl Hoffman and Steven 
Bauer.  Burial will be in the North Eagle Cemetery.
