Portland Review & Observer - Mon. March 4, 1985


James E. McClelland, 54 of 2006 Marsalle Rd., Portland, died Feb. 20 in 
Lansing. He was born April 7, 1930, the son of Russell and Marietta (Hillis) 
McClelland.

Mr. McClelland was a press operator for Oldsmobile, a veteran of the Korean 
conflict and a member of the VFW Post 4090.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; four daughters, Luanne McClelland, Laura 
McClelland, both of Portland, Joanne Rink of Mt. Clemens and Vicki Clothier of 
Midland; two grandchildren and his mother, Marietta Carlson of Mt. Dora, Fla. 

Funeral services were held Feb. 23 at the Neller Funeral Home with the Rev. Dow 
Chamberlain of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in North 
Eagle Cemetery.
