Ionia Sentinel, 1 Mar 1948

Luie McClow, 65, of Belding died Saturday morning in Belding City hospital 
following a stroke suffered Friday.

He was born January 1, 1883, at Sidney.  In 1901 he married Sylvia Barnes.  He 
formerly operated a garage in Muir, and for the past few years prior to his 
illness operated a service station near Orleans.  He retired three years ago 
because of ill health.

He leaves his wife, one brother, Elmer McClow, of Ionia; four sisters, Mrs. 
Vernon Touner and Mrs. Dick Vibber of Detroit and Mrs. Amber Smith and Mrs. 
Harvey Gibson of Palo.

Prayer services will be held from the home at 1 p.m. followed by the funeral at 
Palo Methodist church at 2 o’clock Tuesday.  The Rev. H. S. Ellis will 
officiate.  Interment will be in Palo cemetery.
