He was born August 9, 1893 in Montcalm county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William McClow. Formerly of Fenwick, Mr. McClow had resided in Ionia 37 years. He was employed at Ionia Manufacturing company until his retirement two years ago. Previous to that he operated a farm in the Fenwick area. He was married in Belding in 1914 to the former Elizabeth Smith who survives. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, William McClow of Detroit, and Elton McClow of Oak Park, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Anthony (June) Balice of Ionia, and four sisters, Mrs. Vernon Tauner, Mrs. Harvey Gibson and Mrs. Dexter Vibber of Ionia, and Mrs. Amber Smith of Palo. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Phelps funeral chapel with interment in the family lot at Palo cemetery. The family will be at the chapel Thursday and Friday evenings from 7 until 9 p.m. to receive friends and relatives.
