Sept. 5, 1974 Mrs. Elizabeth J. McClow, 82, formerly of 518 King, died early Thursday morning at the Ionia Manor. Born at Bay City, Jun 18, 1892, she was the daughter of Nicholas and Margaret Campbell Smith. She attended school at Bay City before moving to Belding where she was employed at the Belding Silk Mills. March 25, 1914, she was married in Belding to Elmer McClow, who died in 1961. She made her home on a farm near Fenwick until moving to Ionia in 1922. Surviving are two sons, William of Troy and Elton of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Mrs. Anthony C. (June) Balice of Ionia; 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 am at the Leddick funeral home. Fr. Edward Orlowski of SS Peter and Paul church will officiate and interment will be at the Palo cemetery. Family will be at the funeral home Thursday and Friday from 7 to 9 pm.
