IONIA- F. Russell McComb, 59, of 3485 West Wise, Sheridan, died at his home 
Friday.

He was born May 27, 1929, in Fenwick, the son of A. Floyd and Esther McComb, and 
was a lifetime resident of the Sheridan area. 

He was a partner in McComb Home Builders and a member of the Michigan 
Association of Home Builders, of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Greenville, and a 
Chips A-Flying Carving Club, Montcalm County; Grand Valley Carving Club, Ionia; 
and Woodland Carving Club, Grand Rapids.

He was married to Nancy Hansen on Aug. 20, 1950, she survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Greg (Carol) Coville of Greenville; his 
mother, Esther McComb of Fenwick; a sister, Gladys McComb of Fenwick; and a 
brother, Keith McComb of Greenville.

He was preceded in death by a son, David McComb, in 1977; a sister, Hazel 
McComb, in 1983; a granddaughter, Kristin Marie Coville, in 1985; and his 
father, A. Floyd McComb, in 1988.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 
Greenville, with the Rev. Keith Baker officiating.

Burial will be in South Sidney. 

The family will be at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Memorials have been established for St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund and 
the American Cancer Society.
