Ionia Sentinel Standard, 7 Jun 1967

David McCord, 65, lifelong resident of Easton township on 3994 Potters road,
died unexpectedly at his home at 4 p.m. June 6.	He was born June 26, 1901 in
Easton township, Ionia county the son of Joseph McCord and Edla Bemis McCord. 
July 14, 1926 he was married to Carrie Kingston and had lived at his present
address the past 41 years.

He was a member of National Rifle association and one of the founders of Western
Michigan Rifle and Pistol club and past officer of the club.  He was a gunsmith
and well known to sportsmen of Western Michigan and operated Dave’s Gun shop at
the time of his death in partnership with his son Joseph.

His wife Carrie survives him and also one son Joseph of Easton township; three
grandchildren; one brother Paul of Easton township.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home with
Rev. James Kendall officiating and interment will be in Easton cemetery.  Family
requests a memorial be established for heart fund association.  Family will be a
funeral home Thursday evening from 7 to 9 o’clock.
