The Ionia Standard, Friday, December 27, 1889

Mrs. Mary McCord, well known in Easton and vicinity as a worthy lady and kind 
neighbor and friend, passed away on Friday last, at the early age of 33 
years.  She was the wife of Joseph McCord, and leaves three small children, 
the oldest 10 years of age.  She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph 
Norris, former residents of this city, but now of Lakeview.  Funeral was held 
at Easton M. E. church on Sunday, and was largely attended.  She was in many 
respects a truly good woman.
