Carrie E. McCord, 92, of Ionia died Saturday evening at Heartland Health Care 
Center.  She was born in Ionia Township Oct. 9, 1905, the daughter of John N. 
(Emma M. Conner) Kingston.  She was a life member of the First Christian 
Church in Ionia.  She married David C. McCord July 14, 1926 in Ionia.

She is survived by one son, Joseph (Joan) McCord of Ionia; three 
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, David, in June of 1967; one brother, 
Burton; and two sisters, Blanche and Marion.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia with Rev. Adamson officiating.  Interment will be at Easton Cemetery.  
The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 
and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  Anyone wishing may make 
contributions to the Arthritis Foundation, or the Ionia Commission on Aging.
