Craig Douglas McCord, 47, of Ionia, died Thursday, April 30, 1998.  He was 
born February 18, 1951 in Greenville, the son of Richard and Elizabeth (McKay) 
McCord.  He graduated from Ionia High School in 1969, and was a carpenter and 
farmer all his life.

He is survived by his father, Richard McCord, of Ionia; sister, Kathy Jackson, 
and nephew, Matt Jackson, both of Fowler; and several aunts, uncles, and 
cousins.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth (McKay) McCord.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6 at Lake Funeral 
Home in Ionia with Rev. Donald Wells officiating.  Anyone wishing may make 
memorial contributions to Ionia Helping Hands Hospice.
