Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 1 Aug 1957

Mrs. Fred (Genevieve) McCord, 32, of route three, Ionia, died Thursday morning
at Butterworth hospital, Grand Rapids where she had been a patient for three
weeks following surgery.  She was born February 23, 1925 in Lyons township,
Ionia county and was a daughter of Alton and Wava Messer.

She is survived by her husband Fred, a daughter Kathleen, 10, her mother, Mrs.
Wava Flowers of Holt; her father, Alton Messer of Ionia; brother, Russell Messer
of Grand Ledge; half-sister, Mrs. Ethel Rippey of Lansing, and a half-brother,
Leonard Bridson.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers
funeral home with the Rev. Leonard McMillan, pastor of Dildine Community church
officiating.  Burial will be in the family lot at Easton cemetery.
