Unidentified Publication, 1917

Chauncey E. McCormick was born November 16, 1866, in the log house on his
father’s farm where Clarksville is now located.  He had been a resident of
Clarksville all his life except for a few years when he was employed as a
railroad man.  He passed away very suddenly April 1, 1917, age 50 years, 4
months and 15 days.

Funeral services were held from the house April 4 under the auspices of the
Clarksville Masonic lodge.  Rev. R.H. Bready of Hastings preached the funeral
sermon.

He leaves a wife, two daughters, Mary E. and Lillian, one son, Fay E., father
Alvah J., and a sister, Carlie Ackerson.
