The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, February 22, 1972
Mrs. Esther L. McCormick, 53, of 334 South Jefferson, Pewamo, died Monday 
evening at Carson City hospital following a short illness.  Born at Dexter, 
June 21, 1918, she was the daughter of William G. and Erma Johnson Haarer and 
came to Pewamo as a child.  January 31, 1941 she married at Morley to Thomas 
J. McCormick.

Surviving besides the husband are four daughters, Patricia Ann, Diane Eleanor, 
and Mary Eileen, all at home; and Mrs. Susan Platte of Fowler; one 
granddaughter, brother, Harold Haarer of South Whitley, Indiana.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at George chapel of Osgood funeral 
home in Fowler.  Rev. Robert Myers will officiate and interment will be at 
East Plains cemetery.
