Her maiden name was Mary F. Lehman. She was the daughter of the late Wm. Lehman and was born in Westphalia Nov. 30, 1869, coming to Portland when she was 3 years old. She married Peter McCourt in 1900 and this couple made this town their headquarters, though Mr. McCourt’s work frequently took him to other cities, his wife often accompanying him. There are no children. Both parents are dead. Brothers and sisters are Allie J. Lehman, Portland, Mrs. Frank Dehn, Herman P. Lehman, Lansing; Mrs. Emmett McCrumb, Mr. Leo C. Lehman, Portland. Mrs. M.C. Klintworth, Saginaw. Mrs. McCourt underwent an operation for cancer at a Lansing hospital several months ago, but only obtained temporary relief. Funeral services are to be held Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Church at 9:00, Rev. John A. Griffin, officiating. Additional Comments: Burial in the Portland Cemetery.
